How Hydrogen water is formed

  

Water ionizers work by by using electromagnetism to change ordinary tap water into ionized alkaline water with acid-fighting alkalinity and antioxidant potential. Plain water is a mix of alkaline minerals and carbonate – dissolved CO2. A water ionizer separates the carbonate from tap water from the alkaline minerals. The alkaline minerals, and the acidic carbonate are discharged in a separate streams of water. By separating the alkaline elements in tap water from the acidic elements, a water ionizer enables you to get the benefit of the natural acid-fighting alkalinity the alkaline minerals in your water like calcium and magnesium. These alkaline minerals, once freed of the carbonate, gain antioxidant potential and acid fighting alkalinity. 

Inside a water ionizer, water runs across charged plates which are separated by a special membrane – called an Ion-Permeable Membrane. That membrane allows energetically charged atoms and molecules – called ions – to pass through. It doesn’t allow energetically neutral atoms and molecules to pass through. Water molecules are energetically neutral, so they don’t pass through the membrane. The alkaline mineral ions in water, and the carbonate ions in water both have energetic charges, so they’re allowed to pass through. This separates the alkaline minerals from the acidic carbonate.

The alkaline minerals in water have a positive energetic charge – that makes them positively charged ions.

Likewise, the acidic carbonate in water have a negative electrical charge, which makes them negatively charged ions.

The electromagnetically charged plates in a water ionizer separate those ions. The positively charged alkaline mineral ions are attracted to the negative plates. The acidic carbonate is attracted to the positively charged plates. The ion-permeable membrane allows both the positively charged alkaline mineral ions, and the negatively charged carbonate ions to pass through it, which then separates these ions into two chambers.





Water ionizers make two streams of water

  

  Once separated, the ions in both chambers react with the water that’s inside each chamber to make alkaline and acidic waters. Each type of water is discharged a separate stream coming out of the water ionizer. The alkaline minerals are discharged in the alkaline stream as alkaline mineral water. The acidic carbonate is discharged in the acidic water stream as a solution of carbonic acid. When you dissolve CO2 into water, it makes carbonic acid.


Why Alkaline water has Age-Fighting Antioxidant Potential

Once freed of the acidic carbonate, the calcium and magnesium ions in the water are highly unstable. They immediately react with water molecules by grabbing a hydroxyl ion from them to form alkaline mineral hydrates. The alkaline minerals’ positive energetic charge is able to take a hydroxyl ion from a water molecule because it overcomes the energetic force holding the water molecule together. When this happens, the alkaline mineral ion gains the hydroxyl ion, and an atom of hydrogen is released. It is because of this reaction that alkaline water from a water ionizer is rich in hydrogen.

Thanks to the negative energetic charge of the hydroxyl ion, the alkaline water in a water ionizer gains a negative energetic charge, which is called Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP). The negative ORP of alkaline water from a water ionizer gives it the ability to reduce oxidative substances, such as free radicals and reactive oxygen species. Oxidative substances in the body are believed to be a major factor in disease and aging. It is the Oxidation Reduction Potential of alkaline water that gives it the potential to work as an antioxidant.

Why Alkaline Water is Different from Tap Water

Alkaline water from a water ionizer is different from tap water because the mineral hydrates in alkaline water give it healthy qualities that you don’t get from tap water:

  • Acid fighting alkalinity – Alkaline water can neutralize acids
  • Antioxidant potential – Alkaline water reduces harmful oxidation
  • Better taste – Alkaline water is slightly sweeter and a lot more refreshing!

Tap water doesn’t have any of those healthy qualities because those healthy benefits are locked up by the acidic carbonate in tap water. The acidic carbonate simply balances out the alkaline minerals, making tap water energetically neutral. Perhaps that’s the reason why tap water tastes ‘dead’ compared to alkaline water!

A high positive ORP is desired in sewage treatment, swimming pools, and spas,  because the higher the ORP, the more oxidation will occur, thus killing the bacteria and unwanted pathogens, by stealing electrons from the bacteria’s DNA, cell membranes, and proteins.Chlorine is added to water because it has a high ORP and thus is an effective disinfectant. It is the high ORP of electrolyzed oxidizing water that makes HIGHit an effective bactericidal.Oxygen also has a high ORP and can damage DNA and proteins. Conversely molecular hydrogen exhibits a very low ORP and is thus a reducing agent or antioxidant.


ORP OF DRINKING WATER: EFFECTS ON HEALTH 

Like pools and spas, drinking water quality is also determined by national standards. However, ORP is a non-standardized indicator.  Chlorine is normally added to drinking water because it has a high positive ORP and will therefore oxidize and destroy the bacteria that are harmful to humans. However, the ORP of the internal environment of a healthy person is always on the reductive side, with some redox couples below -350 mV.  Therefore, with a healthy viewpoint in mind, it would make sense that the optimal drinking water is one with a negative ORP. Drinking water with a positive ORP is reduced to a reductive ORP at the expense of consuming the electrical energy from cell membranes. Normal tap water, bottled water, rainwater, and so forth, have a positive ORP generally between 200-400 mV, and even as high as 500-600 mV depending on location. Indeed, tap water has been shown to be a weak pro-oxidant. It was demonstrated in one study that where mineral water shifted intracellular redox state to a 6-10% higher oxidized state, tap water containing HOCl (from the addition of chlorine) shifted the intracellular redox state to a 25% higher oxidized state in rat skeletal muscle cells.


ORP OF DRINKING WATER: RECOMMENDATION 

A low ORP is also seen with certain human biological fluids. The oral fluid of a healthy human and mother’s milk both have negative ORP  -70 mV,8 as does freshly made fruit and vegetable juice such as carrot juice with an ORP of  -50 mV.  Okouchi and colleagues15measured the ORP of an assortment of physiological samples of healthy individuals including: skin, blood plasma, amniotic fluid, saliva and urine. They found that all of these had reductive characteristics.  They also measured a variety of fresh foodstuffs and an assortment of fruits and vegetables and noted that they all exhibited reductive characteristics. The researchers also noted that an ORP measurement could suggest the degree of freshness by comparing the value to its known value when fresh.  It was also observed that many commercial beverages and tap water all exhibited oxidative characteristics. In lieu of these observations, the authors proposed a functional type of water having reductive characteristics that can be classified as vital water because it would be analogous to physiological and biological fluids, as well as the many foodstuffs that are required for growth and development. In conclusion, they recommend that water should have reductive characteristics, which is “less stimulating to the human body”.  However, as mentioned before, more important than the ORP value is the chemical species responsible for that ORP value.

These Experiments Prove Alkaline Water Has Better Cell Penetration, Lower Cholesterol, and Is Better

Experiment: Making Tea with Cold Ionized Alkaline Water

Here is a demonstration showing how Hydra ionized alkaline water powerfully penetrates tea and pulls out the flavour and nutrients without heat. We placed one tea bag in a glass of cold tap water and another in a glass of cold Hydra ionized alkaline water.

When Do pH Levels Change?

This is what a contemporary of Pasteur, Antoine Beauchamp, had discovered and taught long before Pasteur came to the same realization at the end of his life. Beauchamp felt that the ecology of the blood and tissues played the critical role in deciding whether disease conditions would manifest or not. In 1883 Beauchamp boldly declared: “The primary cause of disease is in us, always in us.”

MIRACULOUS INFECTION

We are all exposed to microbes in our body 24 hours a day, throughout our lifetime. In fact, we have more microorganisms in our body than we have cells. Some are dependent on oxygen; others are not. Basically, some microorganisms help us to digest our food and manufacture important substances like vitamin B12, while others help to break down waste materials, such as fecal matter. Without them we would ‘drown’ in a pool of garbage. Obviously, to survive we need both types of microorganisms, and we breed them inside the body. Beauchamp’s work demonstrated that if the acid/alkaline balance (pH) of the body tipped toward acidity, the body produced more ‘food’ for the destructive germs to feed upon, and the risk of becoming sick increased. In his experiments, Beauchamp was able to prove the existence of pleomorphism, primitive microbes which exist in every person’s blood and cells. These can alter their form to appear as different germs. Hence, primitive, harmless microbes live in a strong and healthy alkaline pH but morph themselves into bacteria when the pH changes to become mildly acidic. These bacteria, in turn, become fungi when the pH rises to a level of medium acidity. Finally, fungi become viruses when they are exposed to a strong acid pH. The body’s pH moves from alkalinity toward acidity when acidic metabolic waste products, dead cell material, blood proteins, and toxins are trapped and accumulate in the body’s fluids and tissues. The result is a toxicity crisis, which is nothing other than the body’s attempt to return to a more alkaline state.

Searching for the Cause

1.Most stomach pains are signals of advanced dehydration of the mucus lining. Consisting of 98 percent water and 2 percent water-holding scaffolding, the mucus layer serves as a natural buffer of protection against stomach acids. bicarbonate, which is kept there to neutralize any of the hydrochloric acid that may pass through the mucus lining. The resulting chemical reaction between the two chemicals produces salt from the sodium bicarbonate and chlorine from the hydrochloric acid. Consumption of foods that require the secretion of large amounts of hydrochloric acid, such as meat, fish, eggs, cheese, and other high protein foods, thus causes high salt production inside the stomach. This alters considerably the water-holding properties of the scaffolding material of the mucus lining. Regular consumption of such foods in large amounts leads to an intensified acid neutralization, and subsequently, to an accumulation of salt deposits in this layer. This causes ‘erosion’ which will allow the acid to reach the stomach wall, and the result is the well-known pain of dyspepsia. As long as the mucus barrier is properly hydrated through regular water intake, and protein and fat consumption is moderate, any salt deposits are washed away. In addition, sodium bicarbonate is retained, and the hydrochloric acid is neutralized before it even has the chance to penetrate the mucus layer. Thus, there can be no better acid barrier to the stomach wall than water. Yet the stomach pain, which in most cases is rather a thirst pain, is usually combated with antacids and other medications. These drugs, however, do not offer efficient protection against the natural action of the hydrochloric acid.

2. Most people with stomach ulcers and severe abdominal or dyspeptic pain, experience almost instant and total relief of their discomfort after drinking 1-2 glasses of water. But with countless reports of dissatisfied customers and even potential health red-flags appearing, we’re taking a closer look.

What are hydrogen sticks?

Hydrogen sticks are the latest attempt to jump on the popularity of ionized alkaline water from a water ionizer.

Depending on your product, you place the stick in a bottle or glass of water; wait for a short time, and then drink.

The idea is that the magnesium – the main ingredient that most of these products contain – makes your water more alkaline.

Do hydrogen sticks really make water more alkaline?

What these products do is dump magnesium hydroxide – admittedly rich in alkalizing compounds – into your water.

Now, the human body needs magnesium – 40 – 80 mg per day, ideally from water. Hydrogen sticks can deposit a lot more magnesium than that into your water – along with whatever else is used to make and preserve the product – and that’s not necessarily a good thing.

Do hydrogen sticks make tap water safer to drink?

Despite the claims that some manufacturers make, hydrogen sticks do NOT remove dangerous toxins from your source water.

The contaminants in America’s water are complex and, in many cases, potentially deadly. Removing them takes a refined, expert approach and cutting-edge filtration technology.

Abandoned on a roadside by a heartless previous owner, Bethanee (then called Princess) was sent to a local dog shelter. During a routine surgery, she suddenly flatlined, before thankfully regaining consciousness.


There followed a turning point in Beth’s troubled life – an intervention by the Pacific NW Bulldog Rescue (PNWBR), a bighearted organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of English and French bulldogs in need of a secure and loving place to live.

Sad News and Silver Linings


During Beth’s PNWBR checkup, an ominous swelling on her rear left paw was identified. Further investigations led to a diagnosis of a mast cell tumor (mastocytoma) in the connective tissue of Beth’s leg. The only solution was to remove the limb.


Life wasn’t all gloomy for Beth though. By this point, she had been adopted by Lindsay, a freelance interior designer with the flexibility to shape her life around Beth’s needs and provide all the love and support that she would need.


PardonThyFrench is Born!


Lindsay started an Instagram account in order to share the diary of Beth’s recovery and progress. Lindsay’s updates and heart-melting photos of brave Beth soon garnered plenty of attention and PardonThyFrench now has over 180k followers.


Beth’s fame – she has appeared on Good Morning America, among other media engagements – has been put to good use: highlighting awareness around pet adoption and adopting pets with additional needs.
